When, Where & What

By mid April, we swing our attention to the spawning migration of the American shad in the Delaware River. We launch from various ramps in the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, starting at Route 80 and at other points north. We troll or anchor using bait casting rods & reels, or with fly rods for these acrobats. By June, we will shift to fishing for smallmouth bass in the Delaware River. Drift fishing with bait and casting with artificial lures are the methods we use. In mid-autumn, we begin fishing for walleye and trophy-size smallies in the Delaware River. In addition, guided trips for largemouth bass, muskie, pickerel, and other freshwater species can be booked on various lakes in Northern NJ and Northeastern PA.
